Birmingham is home to many museums, the largest in the city, and the largest in the municipal art museums in the Southeast, is the Birmingham Museum of Art. The history museums include Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, located on Kelly Ingram Park, Southern Museum of Flight, Bassemer Hall of History and many more.

The McWane Science Center is a regional science museum with many hands-on exhibits for everyone to enjoy, and with a large IMAX dome theater.
